    This research is done in order to determine the method of solving problems in the historical lesson for grade student of SMPN 1 kampar. In order to increase the student. Based on researches and the discussion that has been showed that method of solving problems for students learning to improve the results of the study on the subject of history. Use the method of solving problems can also raise interest and activity balajar students in learning process. Students get the learning better than before. By using the method of solving problems increase intraksi among students and attract the students to learn. To deprive of the position of that which received by students as too seriously follow the process of learning which is monotonous. There is an active and teachers only as tutors.
