    Peranan Syekh Ismail Dalam Mengembangkan Tharekat Naqsyabandiyah di Desa Surau Gading Kecamatan Rambah Samo Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

    This study aimed to obtain information about the role of Sheikh Ismail in developing Tharekat Naqsyabandiyah in the Surau Gading‟s Village Rambah Samo Districk Rokan Hulu regency in 1897-1948. This research was conducted using the historical method. Data were collected through a Librarianship method, literature method and data analysis method. The results showed that Sheikh Ismail has a very important role in developing Tharekat Naqsyabandiyah in Surau Gading‟s Village in Rambah Samo District Rokan Hulu regency in 1897-1948. Sheikh Ismail role is to open Surau Gading‟s Village, promote of Islamic education and regulation of Islamic faith. Shaykh Ismail is a successful leader in the spread over of Tharekat Naqsyabandiyah in Surau Gading‟s Village Rambah Samo District Rokan Hulu. In fact many of the disciple from different regions in Rokan Hulu make a pilgrimage to his tomb.
