The biosynthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using green betel leaf extract has been successfully conducted in this study. This research aims to synthesize ZnO nanoparticles and analyze the effect of green betel leaf extract volume on their optical properties. The synthesis was performed using different volumes of green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) and zinc nitrate hexahydrate (Zn(NO3)2.6H2O) solution, namely A (1:1), B (1:5), and C (1:10), followed by the addition of 1 M NaOH until each variation reached a pH of 7. The resulting nanoparticles were characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, which showed an absorption peak in the wavelength range of 250-330 nm with absorption intensities of 1.03, 0.54, and 0.24 a.u., respectively
