    PENGARUH BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KESEHATAN MENTAL SISWA KELAS XII SMA MUHAMMADIYAH SATU PEKANBARU TAHUN AJARAN 2012/2013 Beri Arnas1)Elni Yakub2)Tri Umari2) 1)Mahasiswa Pendidikan Bimbingan dan Konseling, Email : beri_arnas@yahoo.com 2)Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Bimbingan Konseling FKIP Universitas Riau ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is 1) To describe the mental health students of before the implementation of group guidance, 2) To describe the improvement mental health students of after the implementation of group guidance, 3) To determine differences between the mental health students before and after the implementation of the group guidance, 4) to determine the effect of the group guidance to the improvement mental health students. The method used was experimental Quasi with One group pattern: One group pre-test and post-test design. The tool used in collecting the data was a questionnaire. The samples were taken using purposive sampling technique which amounted to 18 people. The data is analyzed using a percentage formula; the "t" test was used to distinguish the Mental Health students before and after the implementation of the group guidance. From the calculations of the "t" test, it was obtained that the thitungis greater than ttabelwith (7,89 > 2,021 ) at the level of 5%. Which means that in this study,there are differences between the Mental Health students before and after the application of group guidance. From the calculation of the product moment correlation, it is found that r = 0,504 is the determinant coefficient of r2 = 0,25. This, it can be seen that the effect of group guidance on the improvement Mental Health students is 25%. Based on the results of this research, it can be that the improvement Mental Health students after being given the group guidance.
