ANALISA UNSUR CUACA UDARA DENGAN ENERGI POTENSIAL DARI AKTIVITAS KONVEKSI
    (2013-07-23) Asnani, H.; Syech, R.; Ardhitama, A.
A research has been conducted on analysis of above air weather elements with the potential energy of convective activity (CAPE) to determine the rainfall prediction desert in Padang city. Convection process is an important role in the transfer and distribution of mass and energy in the medium of the atmosphere. The method used in this research is statistical correlation and Student T test. The data used are secondary data obtained from Meteorological and Geophysics Board at airport Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru Riau. From the analysis it can be seen a strong relevance among temperature, relative humidity, dew point, wind speed and rain the against convection process. This correlation indicates a presence of a strong relevance among air weather variables with CAPE value of > 0,5. After the Student T test it showed that the influence of the CAPE variables has the same average value. The value CAPE of variables temperature in the rainy season in January 2012 is -3.710 and -5.508 in the dry season in July 2012 with the values t table of 1.699 then Ho is accepted.
