The research was conducted on November 2012 in Rokan Hilir and Bengkalis Waters of Province Riau. The aim of this research was to describe the sedimentary enviroment in Rokan Hilir and Bengkalis waters. Sediment sample obtained from 4 station in Rokan Hilir water and 4 stasion in Bengkalis was using mechanical analysis. Q-mode cluster analysis was carried out based on mean diameter, sorting, skewnes and kurtosis. Based on result of Cluster Analysis, the research area were dividied into the following three area. 1) area located around fishing area, Liong estuary and Malacca strait, characterized by very fine grained sediment, influenced by unstable bottom currents and very weak tidal currents, 2) the area located around settlement areas, characterized by very fine grained sediment, influenced by unstable bottom currents but unsignificant and weak tidal current, and 3) area located around Malacca strait, fishing area and Rokan estuary, characterized by very fine grained sediment, influenced by ustable bottom currents and very weak tidal currents.
