    PERILAKU MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH RUMAH TANGGA DI KELURAHAN TANJUNG RHU KECAMATAN LIMA PULUH KOTA PEKANBARU

    The garbage is something unused, disliked or something that must be thrown, generally comes from the activity that is done by human (included industry activity), but it’s not biological (because human waste is not included) and generally it’s solid (used water is not included). This research was done in Tanjung Rhu Political Districk, Lima Puluh Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City. The goal of this research is to know the level of siciety’s consciousness, society’s behavior ang factors that influence behavior in garbage management. This research uses quantitative method, where the research result is answered by using tables and then explained by using sampling random simple. The society’s behavior in garbage management in based on respondent’s knowledge about garbage, garbage kinds, and garbage simple in good category. From 70 respondents, 49 responden or 70% have good knowledge, because they are supported by formal education and informal education. The respondents measure in garbage management, like decreasing garbage volume, recycling garbage in middle category ang exploiting garbage. From 70 respondents, 39 respondents or 55,71% measure in garbage management in middle category. For keeping the environment clean, the society uses to do community self-help, the participation or respondent in following community self-help is very high. The factors that influence society’s behavior in garbage management are education, habit and religion and they are supported by easing factor, it is facility availability like The place of Temporary Garbage Disposal (TPSS)
