    The aim of this research to describe the impact of population growth on enviromental damage. The enviroment is the forest area of Tesso Nilo National Park in Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. This research use qualitative research. Coleccting data is by searching the informants with using the method of snowball sampling. The result of this research is describe population growth will increase population to migrate to a location that can meet their life both the needs of residence and also work. The forest area of Tesso Nilo National Park (TNTN) is considered a good place to migrate. make every years increasing population who come to TNTN, where as TNTN is a protected forest conservation area of goverment. With the migration of the population in TNTN make the residents open the land for residency settlement and plantation, encroachment that occured caused the destruction of forest in TNTN area and make the forest loss originality
