    RELATION OF DENSITY MANGROVE WITH ABUNDANCE OF MANGROVE SNAIL (Telebralia sulcata) IN TANJUNG MEDANG VILLAGE NORTH RUPAT SUBSDISTRICT BENGKALIS REGENCY PROVINCE OF RIAU

    This research was done on July 2011 in Tanjung Medang Village, North Rupat Subsdistrict, Bengkalis Regency, Province of Riau. The method which used was survey’s method. This research aims to know the species and density of mangrove, and also to know the abundance of mangrove snail (Telebralia sulcata). The benefit of this research was to know how large the reletions between density of mangrove with abundance of mangrove snail. From the result of regression test that gotten the value of R= 0,954(regression coefficient), it means that the reletions between density of mangrove with abundance of mangrove snail which done showed us the result that the better condition of mangrove, so that many more totality occurrence of mangrove snail in mangrove forest, also on the contrary.
