    Enlargement of Selais (Ompok hypopthalmus) With fish meal Containing Thyroxine (T4) Hormones

    The research was conducted from November to Desember 2012 in experimental pond Fishery and Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of this research was to investigate the dose of Thyroxine (T4) hormone in the pellet food on the growth of selais fish (Ompok hypopthalmus). The research method used was experimental method and RAL with four treatments and three replications. The treatments in this study were P1 (control ), P2 (2 ppm Thyroxine hormone / kg of fish meal ), P3 (4 ppm Thyroxine hormone / kg of fish meal), and P4 (6 ppm Thyroxine hormone / kg of fish meal). The result showed that the growth of selais using 4 ppm Thyroxine hormone / kg of fish meal, with absolute growth weight of 8,99 g, absolute growth length 7,77 cm, daily growth rate 5,82% and production of 291g.
