Social media such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook are the most popular communication media used worldwide. Twitter is used to express user opinions and emotions on something, both praising or criticizing. The emotions of Twitter user tweets can be identified by sentiment and emotion analysis. Sentiment analysis is also carried out to see the opinion on a problem by the public, whether it tends to have a negative or positive opinion on the problem. Sentiment and emotion analysis in this study uses the Lexicon Based method to get sentiment and emotion values from tweets based on the available word dictionary (lexicon). Lexicon that being used is the NRC Emotion Lexicon which has been translated into Indonesian Language.
