    Gambaran prilaku keluarga tentang pencegahan osteoporosis pada lansia di Puskesmas Payung Sekaki

    The purpose of this study was to describe the behavior of families about prevention of osteoporosis in the elderly. This research uses descriptive research. The research was carried out at Labuh Baru Barat village in the work area Puskesmas Payung Sekaki involved 96 respondents. Measuring instruments used were a questionnaire and an observation sheet which has been tesed for validity and reliability. Univariate analysis is used. The result showed that the behavior of families about prevention of osteoporosis in the elderly was poor amount with (55,2%), the respondents' knowledge about the prevention of osteoporosis in the elderly was poor (48.9%) and family attitudes about the prevention of osteoporosis in the elderly was negative amount (62.5%) and the actions of the family on the prevention of osteoporosis in the elderly is a negative amount (54.2%). The study is expected to be the initial capital and the right momentum for the Puskesmas Payung Sekaki in evaluating the quantity and quality of health education in order to create a good family behavior on the prevention for osteoporosis in the elderly.
