    GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN PERAWAT TENTANG INTERVENSI KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN PERILAKU KEKERASAN

    The purpose of this study was to determine the level of nurse’s knowledge about nursing interventions on patient with aggressive behavior. This research method is simple descriptive using a questionnaire. The study was conducted in the emergency unit and inpatient room Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Provinve to 68 nurses. Univariate analysis was performed to analyze the distribution of frequency of each variable. The results of this study indicate 77,9% of nurses have good knowledge of nursing interventions on patient behavior. Based on this study, it is suggested to mental Institution to improve nurses knowledge and skill related ti intervention of aggressive behavior by holding/performance, certain training and nursing communication techniques, documenting nursing actions and isolation principles should be enhanced.
