    ABSTRACT This research was held on Tokolan, Batang Tumu, Mandah district, Indragiri Hilir regency. The background of this choice is the place which is located at waterworks which has better sea product compared to the others. The purpose of this research is to know what the contribution of the sea product of the Tokolan’s people. The result of this research hopefully can give benefit to the people to create the new economic development in fishery affairs, and also to become in information for the government and the entrepreneurs who want to open a business-field, especially in fishery. This research was held at May. The technique of data collection by using questionnaire that was given to 40 respondents who was selected by the slovin method. The level of contribution of the sea product for Tokolan’s people is in range 33,4% - 66,6% that is 40,46% which is meant that the level of contribution is medium, so that deserve to be kept and even to be developed.
