KAJIAN PEMBENTUKAN KONFIGURASI DASAR SUNGAI KAMPAR SEGMEN BANGKINGANG – AIR TIRIS
    (2013-07-06) Kurniawan, Jeki
Mining activities of Kampar river have an impact on the cross-river channel. Change of cross section occurs can result in the velocity distribution of each different point. Flow rate affect the movement of sediment. The movement of these sediments indicate that sediment in unstable conditions and a tendency to form the bedforms of river. For the purpose of this study is needed to get the data - supporting data obtained from the field and subsequently processed in laboarorium. Data from the field is required in the form of water depth, flow velocity, and stream sediment sampling. Data processing laboratory by sieving to obtain grain size and density of granules. Both field and laboratory data are used to obtain grain grading, granular initial motion and determine what kind of bedforms. Based on test results obtained basic grains Kampar river segments Bangkinang - Air Tiris as nonuniform grain with grain classification based AGU ranging from very coarse gravel to very fine sand. Sediment in Kampar river sedimentation and erosion had caused by the flow velocity. Calculation shows the bedforms that formed by the river are a plane bed, transitional and dunes.
