This search has been done manufacture and characterization of silver nanoparticles using red dragon skin extract as a methylene blue degradation. This research was aims to synthesize nanoparticles using red dragon fruit peel extract characterized using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer and characterization using TEM and determining the degradation activity of methylene blue which was tested absorption using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Silver nanoparticles with a volume of 5 ml red dragon fruit peel extract and 35 ml silver solution (1:7). Synthesis of silver nanoparticles in red dragon fruit peel extract using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer which is produced an absorbance of 0,9878 a.u at a wavelength of 433 nm. Characterization using TEM was to produce a particle size of 10,17-18,15 nm with a particle structure of FCC. The degradation activity of methylene blue for the absorption test using UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a concentration of 25 ppm, 50 ppm dan 75 ppm in an optimal time of 8 hours resulted in degradation efficiency values of 99,64%, 99,17% and 99,27%.
