    The purpose of this research is to identified leading sector wich driving of the Riau Economy, main sector driving economic activity of Riau Province, leading sector wich can be priority to stimulate economic of Riau Province after price reduction primer commodity. Based on analysis with using Location Quation and Typhology Klassen the result is : leading sector wich can be priority as driving sector economic of Riau Province during 2014 – 2018 is Mining and Quarrying, Agriculture, Livestock, hunting and agriculture service, manufacturing sector. From result analysis of Typology Klassen Business activity sector, human health and social work activities sector, water supply, severage, waste management & remediation activities sector, real estate activities sector, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transportation & storage, Accomodation & food service activities, information & communication, Financial & insurance activities, public administration & defence, compulsory social secutiry, education, other service, all of that sector is relatively left behind (Quadrant IV). Growth of GDRP that sector is lower than growth of PDB Indonesia and have contribution with GDRB wich smaller prepare beside with value contribution that sector with GDRP of Riau Province

    Analisis pola pembentukan harga barang kebutuhan pokok penyumbang inflasi pasar tradisional Kota Dumai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola pembentukan harga barang kebutuhan pokok penyumbang inflasi di pasar tradisional pada saat pasokan normal, banyak, serta sedikit. Pola penentuan harga barang kebutuhan pokok di pasar tradisional Kota Dumai, sangat dipengaruhi oleh pasokan barang kebutuhan pokok yang berasal dari produsen atau pengepul di pasar tradisional. Faktor yang dominan dalam penetapan harga jual oleh pedagang tradisional berdasarkan harga pasar tertinggi di pasar tradisional setempat dan harga dari pesaing/penjual lainnya.
