Effect Of Clays Fraction To California Bearing Ratio Laboratory Test Value With And Without Soaked
(2015-12-15) Nugroho, Soewignjo Agus; Satibi, Syawal; Fatnanta, Ferry
Jn design of highway, soil bearing capacity is ve1y affecting the thickness of pavement. One of the methods to determine the soil bearing capacity in Tndonesia is CBR (California Bearing Ratio) test. The field soil conditions are soaked (saturated) and un-soaked, considering these conditions, conducted CBR testing in the laboratory on soaked and un-soaked conditions. This research aims to make comparisons between CBR soaked test resultsfor CBR un-soaked in some variation of clay content and make simple comparisons between CBR soaked for CBR un-soaked by considering the soil properties whereas can be predicted the CBR soaked value based on the CBR un-soaked test results. The results showed that there was a linear correlation between the CBR soaked and CBR un-soaked also influenced by the nature of the index (the properties of the soil). The maximum value ofCBR ranges of30-40 percent clay content

Local Correlation Of Hand Cone Penetrometer Test To Field California Bearing Ratio Test For Pekanbaru Soils
(2015-12-15) Nugroho, Soewignjo Agus; Fatnanta, Ferry; Satibi, Syawal
Prior to the construction of a highway, inspection of base soil bearing capacity is required. Bearing capacity of base so.il determines the design thickness of a highway pavement. Several field methods are available to determine the base soil bearing capacity such as Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) and Hand Cone Penetrometer (HCP) and field California Bearing Ratio (field CBR). In practice, the design of pavement is commonly based on the California Bearing Ratio test. Correlations between the results of DCP to CBR tests are available. However, as far as can be found in literature, correlation between HCP to CBR test results is hardly found. This research was performed to study local correlation between HCP tests, which is simple and fast to conduct, to the field CBR value. The local correlation is determined based on comparisons of HCP and CBR test results for the same density of soil taken from several locations in Pekanbaru city, Indonesia. It was found that there is an approximate linear relation between HCP test results to CBR values for a certain density of soil.

Pengaruh Kemiringan Pondasi Tiang Terhadap Daya Dukung Tiang Tunggal Akibat Beban Vertikal
(2016-03-07) Suryadi, Rudy; Nugroho, Soewignjo Agus

Prakiraan Nilai Kuat Geser Tanah Lunak Berdasarkan Pengujian Mackintosh Probe (214G)
(2015-12-17) Fatnanta, Ferry; Nugroho, Soewignjo Agus; Rosyida, Hawnar

Time Dependence On Axial Capacity Of Driven Piles In Soft Soils (Model Test)
(2015-12-17) Fatnanta, Ferry; Nugroho, Soewignjo Agus; Liana
Designing pile foundation by using static design formulae can be used to estimate the axial capacity of single pile. However, this design method does not take time variable as a factor of axial capacity into account. Both field and researches before found that there was a set-up phenomenon on axial capacity of single driven pile due to time dependent. This study is conducted to investigate time dependence on axial capacity of driven piles in soft soils by model test and compare the time dependencies, which were suggested by previous researchers. Research was conducted by load testing to the models of pile foundation that have been installed in the soft soils with various time due to driving. Similarly, results shows that the capacity of pile increases to certain extend with time after installation. Test results are interpreted by using Chin Method and Mazurkiewicz Method, and then plotted in chart of time versus ratio (Q/Q0) to show the time dependency on axial capacity. Research concludes that there is differences set-up factor according to the method that used to interpreting axial capacity. It is pointed out the set-up factor for the empirical relationship offered with the reference time is chosen to be one day.
