    Analisis status fungsional pasien stroke saat keluar ruangan merak II RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru

    The purpose of this research was to describe the functional status of stroke patients when leaving from hospital. A consecutive sampling technique was carried on 30 respondents, using simple descriptive sampling was conducted in Merak II ward of Arifin Achmad hospital Pekanbaru. The data collected by modified instruments of Barthel Indeks consisted of 11 items of assessment. The result showed that most repondents had very severe disability (30.0%), (10.0%) with severe disability, 36.7% had medium inability, 6.7% had mild disability, and only 16.7% was independent condition. Based on these result, it is suggested to the health institution to provide nursing care appropriately for post stroke patients to improve their condition when leaving the hospital or at home.
