From the problems above, action research needs to be done to implement. Cooperative learning model index card match. This research aims to improve the learning output of IPS (social science) and keep students active during the learning process of the fourth grade students of SDN 105 Pekanbaru academic year 2011/2012, with 36 students as a sample, the research was conducted in two cycles, one cycle consisted of two meetings with one daily tests and also consisted of two meetings and one time daily tests, from the research results of student learning has increased an awerage of student learning output in basic score is 60,83. Increased to 70,97 in the cycle 1, and increased to the cycle II 85,14, for classical complete ness on the basis of a score only 41,67 or is students completed the first cycle increased to 63,89 or as many as 26 students were said to be completed, and increased in the cycle II to 86,11 or a total of 31 students are said to be completed. Average student activity was 70,3 in the cycle I and then increased. In the cycle II to 85,95. Thus it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this research, if applied learning model index card match can increase learning output IPS learning of fourth grade students of SDN 105 Pekanbaru.
