    Thailand 4.0 And Higher Education: Redesigning Roles Of Universities In Thailand

    This paper aims to provide acomprehensive overview of a new and challenging policy of Thailand ‘Thailand 4.0’ which intends to pull the country out of the middle-income trap and develop it as a high income nation. This new policy also aims to create the nation stability, prosperity and sustainable development through innovations and start-ups. Also, it challenges all private and public sectors in responding and implementing the policy to reach its goals. Importantly, the government place high hope on the efficiency and effectiveness of all universities as key players in spearheading the shift to reach goals of the policy. Challenges and transformative roles of universities are discussed in this paper how the universities can achieve and expand their capabilities in the changing time and complicated context.
