Nana Rahayu3 Email: armi_susanti@ymail.com, Handphone: 081268459014 Abstract This research reveals the forms that contribute the humor aspects in “Kariage-kun” comic. Such comic has appears to have been popular in Japan and the genre of this story contains humors which is aimed at entertaining the readers. However, for foreign readers including Indonesians, have ofcourse found it difficult to understand the humor in this comic. This research therefore tries to explain the humor aspects of Kariage-kun comic according to the underpinning cooperative principles in pragmatic. The findings describe some of the violation in the cooperative principles that may leave humor impressions in Kariage-kun comic.
