    SENSITIVITAS LARUTAN SIRIH MERAH (Piper crocatum) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Edwardsiella tarda

    This research was conducted from October to November 2011 at the Laboratory of Fish Quarantine Station Class I airports Sutan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru and Parasites And Fish Disease Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. The aim of a research is to know the effect of red betel solution (Piper crocatum) concentration to the growth of Edwarsiella tarda and cat fish (Pangasius sutchi) survival. The method that had been used was experimental method with dose: P0; 0 g / l, P1, 3 g / l, P2, 5 g / l, P3, and 7 g / l. The results showed the concentration of red betel 7 g / l produce clear zone average 14.33 mm, a concentration of 5 g / l on average 12.6 mm while the concentration of 3 g / l and 0 g / l didn’t produce any clear zone at all. Between treatments P2 and P3 give significantly different results with the treatment P0 and P1 (P <0.05). The LD50 test using probit analysis obtained the best dose of 6.067 g / l.
