peanut seed can not stand long duration of storage due to high content of fat and protein, so that the quatity of seed become low after storing. To maintain good qualty of seed some efforts must be done to pievent seed deterioration with lhe us age of dessicanl in storage. The oblectives of lhis research are to determine the amount of urea as a dessicant and approriate slorage duration toward peanut seed viability and vigor The research used Comptetely Randomized Design Factorial, Factor I, Dessicant of three levels ( O%, 10%, and 20%), Factor lt, Storage Duration with 5 Levels (30,60, 90 ,and 120 days). Each combination of treatment was repticated 3 times. Parameters measerud are seed moisture content, stancJard germination test, index value test, and soil emergence test. The result of the research concluded that peanut seed with the application of urea dessicant as much as 10% of total weigh of material could maintain seed viability and vigor as long as 120 days
