Item EFEKTIVITAS SERBUK BIJI KELOR (Moringa oleifera) DALAM MENURUNKAN KANDUNGAN KLORIDA DAN KEKERUHAN PADA AIR SUMUR GALI DI KOTA DUMAI(2-03-07) Jannah, Raihanil; Anita, SofiaMoringa oleifera is one of the natural coagulants in Indonesia. This study was conducted to see the effectiveness of moringa seed powder as natural coagulant as an alternative to coagulant chemical that has negative effect. This research was conducted for well water samples in Kelurahan Purnama, Sukajadi and Tanjung Palas in Dumai City. The parameters analyzed were chloride and turbidity as well as some additional parameters. Turbidity was analyzed using a turbidimetry method, while chloride was analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results indicated that moringa seed powder could decrease turbidity and chloride in three kelurahans turbidity was of 62.06%, 60.51%, and 19.05%; while chloride was of 43.59%, 48.93%, and 50.50%. Based on paired t-test method (P = 0.05), moringa seed powder are effective to decrease chloride and turbidity on wells water in Kelurahan Purnama, Sukajadi and Tanjung Palas in Dumai City. Based on PERMENKES RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 about drinking water quality, chloride concentration was the limit of requirements for drinking water, but not for turbidity.Item PEMANFAATAN LEMPUNG ALAM MAREDAN SEBAGAI KATALIS HETEROGEN UNTUK PENGHILANGAN METILEN BIRU MELALUI PROSES FENTON(2-04-07) Hendru, Hendru; Awaluddin, AmirMethylene blue, commonly used dye in textile industry, is harmful to living organism and environment due to its resistance for degradation. The most effective method for dyestuff removal is heterogeneous catalyst based on Fenton reaction to produce OH radical. In this study, Maredan Clay (LM) can be used as a heterogeneous catalyst. The results of catalyst preparation were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Characterization results showed that catalyst contained quartz, kaolinite, muscovite and hematite minerals with morphology like irregular spheres. LM give optimum result in methylene blue removal under conditions of pH = 3, H2O2 = 6.7 mM, Fe-LM = 0.75 g/L, initial concentration = 50 ppm, at room temperatureItem HUBUNGAN PEMBERIAN INSENTIF DENGAN PRODUKTIVITAS KERJA KARYAWAN PT. Most of the targets set can be realized in accordance with the objectives set. This study aims to determine the implementation of incentives on PT. OTO Branch of NUSA EKA WIRA Pekanbaru on the unit sales of oil products TSM (Team Motorcycles), employee productivity especially in the work unit sales of oil products TSM (Team Motorcycles) and relationships with productivity incentives. The population of this study wa 35 persons , from all the populations sampled in this study, the technique for sample collection, the author uses census means sampling techniques based on population. Data were collected and measured using Spearman rank correlation analysis. The results of this study obtained by Spearman's rho correlation value of 0.918 means a very strong positive relationship between the provision of incentives to labor productivity.Item Evaluasi Kinerja Kompor Gasifikasi Forced Draft(Seminar Nasional Teknik Kimia Indonesia dan Musyawarah Nasional APTEKINDO 2012, 2012) Hermanto; Zulfansyah; Fermi Muhammad IwanThe availability of biomass as a source of primary energy in Indonesia is very abundant, reaching 280 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) and approximately 84% of the biomass has been used for the household sector. The application of gasification stove especially in cooking purposes can increase the efficiency of fuel usage. This research uses three units gasification stove with dimension stove 1 (H1 = 16 cm , D1 = 10 cm); stove 2 (H2 = 16 cm, D2 = 12 cm) and stove 3 (H3 = 20 cm, D3 = 12 cm). While the fuel was branches of acacia wood with moisture content 7.26%, 9.63% and 12.58%. Procedure water boiling test (WBT) was used to evaluating stove performance. Additional parameter such as operating time and flame temperature of the stove is including in evaluation of stove performance. The experimental results obtained average start up time is to 2 minutes and operating time of gasification stove reach to 32 minutes. Thermal efficiency of the forced draft gasification stove is approximately 25.03% to 30.44%, with the highest efficiency is on the stove with 12 cm diameter, 16 cm high and fuel with 9.63% biomass moisture content. Although the resulting flame is reddish yellow, but the forced draft gasification stove capable of producing up to 3.43 kWth thermal energy with the highest flame temperature reaches 933OC. The results show that the gasification stove operating conditions greatly affect the performance of the stove.Item MODIFIKASI KARET ALAM MENJADI MALEATED NATURAL RUBBER MELALUI PROSES GRAFTING DENGAN VARIASI KADAR MALEAT ANHIDRIDA DAN TEMPERATUR(Teknobiologi Jurnal Ilmiah Sains Terapan, 2012-08) Wati, Rika; HS Irdoni; BahruddinModification of natural rubber into Maleated Natural Rubber (MNR) is one of research area that is still developing. This research is aiming to study the impact of variety of concentration maleic anhydride (MAH) and the temperature of mixing for MNR making in order to determined the degree of grafting of MAH. MAH was varied by 6, 8, and 10 phr (per hundred rubber) while the temperature was varied by 135, 145 and 155 oC. The process Modification is using internal mixer with 60 rpm for 10 minutes. The degree of grafting was determined by titrimetric method where MNR diluted in xylene and titrated by MeOH until the color solution was changed. Based on the test results by using FT-IR instrument. For natural rubber, C-H is clinging to double bond C=C at peak absorption 835 cm-1 and stretching characterisation of alkene (C=C) is at the peak absorption 1659 cm-1. And for the MNR, the absorption peak anhydride (C=O) were grafted on natural rubber is at the absorption peak 1712 cm-1. From degree of grafting analysis result, showing that the variety of concentration MAH can be grafted at natural rubber’s structure until reach optimum condition. And by increasing temperature, the degree of grafting for making the MNR is increasing . The highest degree of grafting obtained at 8 phr and 155 °C with the degree of grafting at 3.593%.Item OPTIMALISASI KONDISI PROSES PENCAMPURAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MORFOLOGI DAN SIFAT THERMOPLASTIC VULCANIZATE BERBASIS KARET ALAM DENGAN COMPATIBILIZER MALEATED NATURAL RUBBER(Teknobiologi Jurnal Ilmiah Sains Terapan, 2012-08) Martani, Russita; Bahruddin; Daud SyarfiMorphology and properties of thermoplastic vulcanizate is strongly influenced by the conditions of the mixing process of raw materials and the compatibility between the phase. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal temperature, rotor speed and compatibilizer. Thermoplastic vulcanizate was made in two stages. The first stage was the manufacture of rubber compounds using a roll mill at room temperature and speed of 20 rpm. Natural rubber materials used are natural rubber SIR 20. Curative ingredients and additives that are added include filler hybrid Carbon black/fly ash 30 phr, ratio 70/30, 5 phr paraffin, 5 phr ZnO, 3 phr stearic acid, 1 phr TMQ, 0,6 phr MBTS and 3 phr sulfur. The second phase of the resulting rubber compound was mixed with polypropylene (PP) and the compatibilizer maleated natural rubber (MNR) in the internal mixer. Ratio of NR / PP made it 70/30, while the MNR varied 2 and 5 phr. Varying conditions in the mixing process at a temperature of 170oC, 175oC and 180oC and speed of 40, 60 and 80 rpm. The results showed that the morphology and properties of optimal TPV obtained at 175oC temperature, rotor speed of 40 rpm and MNR 5 phr.Item KEANEKARAGAMAN LICHEN SEBAGAI BIOINDIKATOR PENCEMARAN UDARA DI KOTA PEKANBARU PROVINSI RIAU(2012-10-14) Panjaitan, Desi Maria; Fitmawati; Martina, AtriaLichen have been widely used as bioindicator of air quality. The aims of this study were to know the relationship between certain lichen with traffic volume and influence of traffic volume to lichen diversity and accumulation of Pb and Cr in lichen thalus. There were 20 species from 6 families found from all sampling sites. The highest traffic volume was observed in Jl. Jend. Sudirman, Jl. Arifin Ahmad and Jl. Adi Sucipto respectively. Lichen diversity increased with greater volume of traffic, and was highest at Jl. Adi Sucipto (17 species), Jl. Arifin Ahmad (12 species) and Jl. Jend. Sudirman (11 species). Dirinaria picta was found in all sampling sites and has the highest presence percentage among the observed lichens. The highest accumulation of Pb (4.48±0.18 ppm ) and Cr (1.00 ±0.14 ppm) in D. picta thalus was found at Jl. Jend. Sudirman. The lowest accumulation of Pb (2.03±0.03 ppm) and Cr (0.61±0.13 ppm) in D. picta thalus was found at Jl. Adi. Sucipto. The analysis of Spearmans correlation showed the positive correlation between traffic volume and accumulation of Pb and Cr on lichen thalus at Jl. Jend. Sudirman and Jl. Arifin Ahmad, while negative correlation was shown at Jl. Adi Sucipto. Spearman’s correlation showed negative correlatiom for traffic volume and accumulation of Cr in lichen thalus in all sampling sites.Item PENYELESAIAN MASALAH TRAVELING SALESMAN DENGAN PEMROGRAMAN DINAMIK(2012-10-14) Mustafsiroh; Gamal, M. Then we calculate the length of rute of each circuit, and then we choose the shortest circuit. For a large n, many of Hamilton circuits are examined. Forum Geom. 4: 67–68 (2004).Item UTILIZATION OF TAIWANESE CLAM (Anadonta woodiana, Lea) AS BIOFILTER IN CULTURING SYSTEM OF SILAIS (Ompok hypopthalmus)(2012-10-16) Ramayani, FikaThe research was conducted from April until June 2012 at Aquaculture Technology Laboratory Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of the research was to improve water quality through the biofilter using taiwanese clam (Anadonta woodiana, Lea) on culturing system of silais to increase the growth and survival rate of silais (Ompok hypopthalmus). The method used was experimental method and RAL one factor with 3 level of treatments. The treatment with stocking density of 10, 15 and 20 taiwanese clam (Anadonta woodiana, Lea) respectively. The result indicated that different stocking density of taiwanese were have significantly effect on water quality (NH3), growth rate and survival rate of silais (Ompok hypopthalmus). The best result was achieved by 20 taiwanese clam (Anadonta woodiana, Lea). Total absolute body weight of silais was 9.53 grams, daily growth rate of 2,18 % and survival rate of 100%.Item STUDI KONSTRUKSI ALAT TANGKAP JARING INSANG (GILL NET) DI DESA NIPAH SENDANU KECAMATAN TEBING TINGGI TIMUR KEPULAUAN MERANTI PROVINSI RIAU(2012-10-16) ElsafanderThis research was conducted from 6 to 18 Juni 2012 in Nipah Sendanu Villaga, East Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict Meranti Isles Riau Province. The research was aimed to collec information on the construction of Gillnet fishing gear used in Nipah Sendanu Village, East Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict. Gear characteristics were observed and data obtainet to compared to literatures. The method used was survey method. The result of the research indicated that the construction of Gillnet used in Nipah Sendanu Village was the same as the construction of Gillnet in general that consisted of webbing, upper risk line, float line, buoy line, under ris line, sinker line, float, buoy and sinker.Item ASPEK BIOLOGI REPRODUKSI IKAN SELINCA (Belontia hasselti) DI DESA TERANTANG KECAMATAN TAMBANG KABUPATEN KAMPAR PROVINSI RIAU (Reproductive Biological Aspect of Belontia hasselti in the Terantang Aquatic at Tambang, Kampar District, Riau Province)(2012-10-16) Simanjuntak, Esa FBelontia hasselti is belonged to Belontiade family and commonly inhabit in the flood area in the riverside in Riau. However, information on reproductive biology of this fish is rare. To understand the reproductive biological aspects of this fish, a research has been conducted on February-April 2012. There were 123 fishes (102 males and 21 females) captured and TL is ranged from 52 to146 mm and BW ranged from 2 to 68 gr. The sex ratio of male and female is 5:1. In each sampling time there were fishes with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th maturity level. The Gonado Somatic Index (GSI) is arround 0.01-10.46 %. Fecundity is around 142-10,041 eggs. Relationship between fecundity and TL is weak (r=0.03), while the relationship between fecundity with BW and GW are strong, r=0.99 and r=0.99 respectively. The egg size less various, around 0.98-1.00mm in diameter. However, the maturity stages of eggs in the ovary is various. In the 1st maturity level, the eggs are non vitellogenic with 0.05-0.18mm in diameter. In the 2nd maturity stage, the eggs are bigger 0.15-0.44mm and several eggs are in early vitellogenic stage. In the 3rd maturity level, eggs diameter is arround 0.28-1.95mm and there were several vitellogenic eggs. In the 4th maturity level, most of eggg in the ovary are mature (fully vitellogenic), 0.3-0.5mm in diameter. However, in the ovary of the 4th maturity stage fish, there are many immature eggs. This evidence indicates that B. hasselti may be a “partial spawner” and may spawn their eggs throughout the year.Item Studi Reduksi Urea Pada Daging Ikan Pari (Trygon sephen) dengan Perendaman Dalam Ekstrak Tauge dan Asam Sitrat(2012-10-16) Telaumbanua, Putra Wira Hati SilotoThis research was conducted at the Laboratory of Fish Processing Technology and Food Chemistry Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau, Pekanbaru on April 2012 to May 2012. The research objective was to determine the reduction of urea in ray fish treated with citric acid and bean sprouts extract. Ray fish was taken from a fish market in Pekanbaru. The fish was filleted and grouped into three groups. Each group was depth respectivelly in citric acid 2%, bean sprout extract and distilled water (control) for 30 minutes. The urea concentration, protein and TMA of the fish were evaluated. The results indicated that the ray fish fillet treated with citric acid 2% is the best treatment to reduce the ray fish urea. Urea concentration, protein and TMA of the ray fish fillet treated with citric acid 2% was 0,223 mg/ml, 13,75%, 4,88 mg N/100g respectivelly; ray fish fillet treated with bean sprouts extract was 0,094 mg/ml, 15,229%, 4,976 mg N/100g respectivelly and ray fish fillet treated with distilled water was 2,23%, 5,099 mgN/100 g, 16,642% respectivelly.Item Influnce of cooking time on Quality of boiled catfish (Cryptopterus sp)(2012-10-16) Mature. ViktorThe research was intendead to evaluate the effect of cooking time on Quality of boiled catfish. Catfish weighting 200-300 gram each was taken from a fish market in Pekanbaru. The fish was transported to the laboratory of Fish Processing Technology, and made for boiled catfish. Three boiled catfish were prepared with different cooking time: 45, 60 and 75 minutes. The boiled catfish were evaluated for sensory quality, moisture, bacterial count and total Staphylococcus aureus. The results indicated that the boiled catfish cooked for 60 minutes was the best quality product. The boiled catfish was characterized by moisture 70,374-71,490%, bacterial count 4,62-4,75; and staphylococcus aureus was not identified.Item CONCENTRATION OF HEAVY METAL PLUMBUM (Pb) AND CUPPRUM (Cu) IN SEAWATER AND SEDIMENT OF BATUBARA COASTAL WATERS NORTH SUMATRA PROVINCE(2012-10-16) Gultom, JefriThis research was conducted on August 2011. Samples of seawater and sediment were collected from Batubara coastal waters, North Sumatra and analyzed for their Pb and Cu concentrations using AAS Perkin Elmer 3110 in Marine Chemistry Laboratory Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Riau University, Pekanbaru. The results showed that Pb and Cu concentrations in seawater and sediment were higher in station closed to PT Inalum Port (0,82 mg/L and 0,05 mg/L; 13,10 μg/g and 11,24 μg/g) for Pb and Cu in seawater and sediment, respectively than that in other stations. The lowest heavy metal concentration was found in station nearby mangrove area (0,42 mg/L and 0,02; 11,53 μg/g and 6,49 μg/g) for pb and cu in seawater and sediment respectively. Concentrations of Pb and Cu in sediment of Batubara coastal waters were still lower than ERL and ERM values which can be concluded that Batubara coastal waters does not have negative impact to organisms living in the surrounding area.Item Konversi Kulit Pinus menjadi Bio-Oil dengan Metode Pyrolisis Menggunakan Katalis CoMo/NZA (Natural Zeolit deAluminated)(2012-10-16) Asril, Defriano; Bahri Syaiful; SunarnoPine bark over this is just considered waste that pollutes the environment, pine bark is biomass which can be processed into alternative energy. Through the method of catalytic pyrolisis using the CoMo/NZA expected to convert pine bark as biomass into bio-oil. On the study of biomass pine skin 50 gram with a size of -60+80 mesh, silinap 500 ml, and catalyst CoMo/NZA 1,5 grams are incorporated into the slurry reactors, then pyrolysis process carried out on operating conditions, namely temperature and stirring speed 300 3200C rpm for 120 minutes with a flowing nitrogen gas (N2) as protective gas. The results obtained indicate that the yield obtained at optimum catalyst 1% CoMo/NZA i.e. amounting to 51,7%. Physical properties of test results obtained indicate the density (0,919 gr/ml), the viscosity (8.02 pm cSt), numbers of acidity (17, 78a), flash point (50 0 c) and the heat (44, 04MJ/Kg).Analysis of chemical content of results with GC-MS, the predominant chemical components found in bio-oil is 1-Pentene 13.90%, 2-Pentene 10.65%, 1-Propene, 1-Pentene 9,46% 6,38%, Hexane 6,23%.Item THE EFFECT OF hCG INJECTION (HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN) AT DIFFERENT DOSAGE TOWARD OVULATION AND HATCHING RATE OF SNAKE SKIN GOURAMY (TRICHOGASTER PECTORALIS)(2012-10-16) Batubara, Lenni WahyuniThe research was conducted from July 2011 until January 2012 at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of hCG on ovulation and hatching of snake skin gouramy (Trichogaster pectoralis) fish. The hatching dosage of hCG treatment to induce ovulation were 1000 IU/kg,1250 IU/kg, 1500 IU/kg and 1 ml of NaCl 0.9 % as a control respectively, The best dosage of hCG treatment was obtained at dosage 1250 IU/kg of body weight which produced latency period of 4,24 hours, 2) number of ovulated egg 1081, Ovi Somatic Index 6,63%, eggs diameter increment 0,23 mm, fertilization rate 35,61%, Hatching rate 11,09% and survival rate 91,59 %. The temperature ranged from 27-290C and pH was 5.Item KOMPOSISI DIATOM EPIPELIK DAN EPIFITIK DI PERAIRAN SUNGAI MESJID KOTA DUMAI PROVINSI RIAU(2012-10-16) Simanihuruk, TolopanThe research was conducted in June 2012 in water the Sungai Mesjid of Dumai City Riau Province. This research aims to describe how the composition of epipelic diatom the sediments and epiphytic on mangrove communities in the water Sungai Mesjid of Dumai City Riau Province and environmental factors that affect it. The data obtained by observation, measurement and sampling in the field, followed by the identification of diatom samples at Integrated Laboratory of Marine Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. Total species of epipelic diatom that were consisted of 53 species and 16 species epiphytic diatom.Epipelik diatom species most frequently encountered is Navicula elegans, Navicula membranacea and Nitzschia frigida. While epiphytic diatom species only Rhabdonema arculatum which can be found at all stations. The species is a species that has a high tolerance to various substrates. From the value of diversity index (H '), dominance (D), equability (e) and the measurement of water quality parameters shows that the condition of the waters in the Sungai Mesjid of as whole is still in balance, there is no competition for place nor food and water quality middle level of contamination.Item Pengaruh Fortifikasi Jumlah Konsentrat Protein Ikan Patin (Pangasius hypopthalmus) Yang Berbeda Pada Tahu Terhadap Tingkat Penerimaan Konsumen(2012-10-16) Manullang, BennyThe research was conducted in April-May 2012. The purposes of the research was to determine the effect of fish protein concentrate on consumer acceptance and nutritional quality of tofu. Fish protein concentrate was prepared from catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus). Three types of tofu were prepared and fortified respectively with 0%, 5% and 10% fish protein concentrate. The product were evaluated for consumer acceptance, nutritional composition ( moisture, protein, fat and ash) and microbiol quality (Aerobic plate count and coliform). The results showed that the product fortified with 10% fish protein concentrate was the most acceptable by consumer. Nutritional compotstion of the product was moisture 85,03%, protein 7,75 %, fat 5,14%, and ash 0,40%, Total aerobic plate count of the product was aerobic plate 3,93 x 105 coloni/g and coliform 7 MPN/g.Item THE EFFECT OF OVAPRIM AND PROSTAGLANDIN (PGF2α) COMBINATION ON OVULATION AND EEG QUALITY OF KISSING GOURAMY (Helostoma temmincki C.V)(2012-10-16) Hardy, M. FikriThis research was done on July 11th until December 25th, 2011 in Fish Breeding Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau Ubiversity, Pekanbaru. Aim of the research was to know the influence of injection combination of ovaprim and prostaglandin for ovulation and eggs quality of kissing gouramy (Helostoma temmincki C.V). The method used was RAL with five treatments and three replications. The treatment were: P1= 50% Ovaprim + 50% PGF2 α (0,35 ml ovaprim + 1250 μg PGF2 α/kg body weight), P2 = 75% Ovaprim + 25% PGF2 α (0,3 ml ovaprim + 625 μg PGF2 α/kg body weight), P3 = 25% Ovaprim + 75% PGF2 α (0,18 ml ovaprim + 1875 μg PGF2 α/kg body weight), P4 = 100% Ovaprim (0,7 ml ovaprim/kg body weight), P5 = 100% μg PGF2 α (2500 μg PGF2 α/kg body weight). The fastest result of latent time was 6,33 (6 hour 20 minutes), amount of eggs ovulation 76,19 eggs/g, egg diameter additional 0,3 mm and egg maturity additional 10,67%.
