Abstract
This study aims to understand the empowerment of communities in implementing
replanting on sustainable palm oil plantations. The management of oil palm starts from
land clearing, planting, maintenance and harvesting and replanting. Replanting is a
process of rejuvenation of oil palm crops. the success of replanting depends on the
rejuvenation process. While environmentally sound replanting in sustainable palm oil
management becomes an important part.
The process of implementing replanting requires community empowerment. The process of
community empowerment is done through awareness and community's ability to
participate in environmentally sound replanting.
