Abstract
This research was conducted to find out and analyze how the ecological, economic and social
impacts due to land and forest fires and how the patterns of community empowerment, supervision
and enforcement to create sustainable forests and to know and analyze how the patterns of
prevention of sustainable land and forest fires.
This research was conducted in Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. The research method uses
qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods (Mix Method). Data and information collected
include qualitative and quantitative data. The population is people in Pelalawan Regency, Riau
Province. Taknik sampling is a probability sampling with a simple random sampling form with the
Slovin formula. Partial Correlation data analysis techniques. Further analysis by analyzing
environmental factors in the form of social, economic and ecological.
The results of the study conclude that, patterns of prevention of land and forest fires with three
patterns such as empowerment patterns, monitoring patterns and enforcement patterns are patterns
that can be used in controlling forest and land fires, therefore this pattern can be used by the
government in handling land and forest fires by applying it in the field as a reward in maintaining
a sustainable forest.
