| dc.description.abstract | Complementary feeding practices are often inappropriate, for example early feeding practices, no variation and inadequate of frequency of feeding. Therefore, the children experience undernutrition. Inappropriate complementary feeding practices are caused by low of knowledge and attitude of mothers. The purposes of the study were to describe mothers knowledge and attitude about complementary feeding practices and nutritional status of infants 6-12 months old. This study was conducted in 21 Posyandu (Health and Nutrition Integrated Service Center) that have taken place in Puskesmas Rawat Inap (Hospitality Community Health Care) Simpang Tiga working area, Kecamatan Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. This descriptive designed study was conducted with mothers and infants aged 6-12 months as respondents. 75 infants were included by using propotional random sampling method. The data were taken by using interviews and questionnaries of mothers and measurements of weight for age (W/A) of infants. The result showed, mothers have ‘enough’ knowledge 53,3%, mothers have ‘positive’ attitude 98,7%, and 88,0% nutritional status of infants aged 6-12 months were good. | en_US |
