Abstract
Migration is the movement of people from one place/region to another, with somereason they immigrated to sustainable life asfor the human factors that migrated economic, political, social, cultural, natural disasters, and security. However, the movement is much cause variouseffects, both the impact of Posit and negative impacts.
The research was conducted in the District Tenayan Kingdom RW 08 Sub Kulim Pekanbaru, the purpose of this study was to determine the survival strategies used migrants, especially migrant origin Java. The research was conducted using qualitative edescriptive methods, namely object sowned by describing overall. Fromin-depth interviews and observation.
Conclusions in defense strategies used by migrant origin Java isa strategy Productive and Domestic. Aswork to meet their own needs, working to find more revenue, as well as the utilization of state and time. Everything that is only intended to make Java migrants remain at Kulim District Tenayan Kingdom RW 08 Sub City Pekanbaru.
