Abstract
The background of this observation is the skill in learning of art culture and handicraft still low.
Especially in macrame handicraft matter, the students in the class Va SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru. The
problem formulation in this observation is the act of learning mode cooperative type Think Pair Share
(TPS) to ascend the skill of macrame handicraft the students in the class Va SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru?
the purpose of this observation to ascend the skill of macrame handicraft the students in the cl ass Va
SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru. Implementer of this observation at comlete semester two (2) T.P 2012/2013
in February until March 2013. The subject of this observation is the student in the class Va SD Negeri
21 Pekanbaru with total 36 person, consist of 17 gentlement and 19 ladies. The form of this
observation is the action of observation in the class (PTK).
The instument to unite of data consist of the thread observation teacher activity and thread observation
students activity, criteria process evaluation and criteria product evaluation. This observation do i t
three (3) cycle, every cycle consist of two meeting. The result of this observation showed that the act
of learning mode Think Pair Share (TPS) to ascend the skill of macrame handicraft the students in the
class Va SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru, matter the ascend from base scor 70,17 % at the first cycle with
average 73,55 % to get better at the second cycle with average 77,94 % and the third cycle with
average 87,64 %. Mean while in teacher activity to get better from 66,6 % in first metting to be 75 %
in second metting at cycle I.at cycle II 83,5 % in third meeting to be 87,5 % in fourth meeting. An at
cycle III 91,6 % in fiveth meeting to be 95,83 % in sixth meeting. Then the students activity as big as
62,5 % at cycle I in first meeting to be 70,83 % in second meeting, and at cycle II in third meeting
79,16 % to be 83,3 % in fourth meeting. And then at cycle III in fiveth meeteing 87,5 % to be 91,6 %
in sixth meeting.
So the act of learning mode cooperative type Think Pair Share (TPS) to ascend the skill of macrame
handicraft the students in the class Va SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru.
