dc.description.abstract | In this study, the ZnO/Fly ash composite with palm frond extract was synthesized using the precipitation method. Based on XRD, UV-DRS and FTIR characterization. XRD characterization showed that the crystal size of the ZnO/Fly ash composite with 10 g palm frond extract was 21,44 nm. The results of UV-DRS characterization showed that there was a decrease in the band-gap energy from 3,21 eV in ZnO to 2,94 eV in the ZnO/Fly ash composite with 10 g palm frond extract. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the ZnO/Fly ash composite with 10 g of palm frond extract could degrade 10 ppm methylene blue with an optimum degradation percent of 91,2% using a mass of 50 mg composite in 105 minutes. | en_US |
